“Do you want to get well?”
When Jesus asked this question of a man who was sick and couldn’t walk, He wasn’t just focused on the physical need. Jesus was concerned about the WHOLE person- body, soul and spirit. When we think about wellness, we often focus on the food and the fitness and the physical transformation we desire. We get the information, we learn what to do, and still we feel stuck. That’s because we need a whole-person (holistic) approach that helps us live well.
Here at Land of the Living, we focus on the whole person (body, soul, and spirit) not only in the counseling room, but through all of our services, including health coaching. We offer holistic health coaching in both individual and group formats so that you can choose the style of support and accountability that is right for you.
Group Coaching
In our twelve-week Live Well Health Coaching group, we get to come alongside you as you take on a new approach to wellness so that you can experience true Christ-centered transformation. The conversations we will have and the tools you will gain will help you integrate your faith and your health for physical wellness and spiritual growth. We are called to love the Lord with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, and that’s the focus of these twelve weeks.
Living well means delving into areas such as your identity (what God says about you and about your body), what you value, your mindset, strongholds, emotions, desires, the margin in your life, movement, nutrition, your gifts and calling, and your community.
Living well means putting into practice things that will help you read and understand the Bible, recognize the lies you believe and how to replace them with Truth, use somatic practices to regulate your nervous system when you are feeling anxious and overwhelmed, steward your time well, and steward your BODY well. Each week you will be provided with practical tools to do all of this and more.

Let’s start with what this program is not. This is not about quick fixes and prescribed plans. Let’s be really honest. We know that stuff doesn’t create lasting change. We’re here for freedom. For GOOD. Everyone is uniquely and WONDERFULLY made, and the only way for you to find freedom that lasts is by participating in your wellness plan. But don’t worry, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
I will be providing you with knowledge through weekly lessons, but will also be moving you through workshop style training so that you can work out in real time your next best steps in all areas. Each week you can expect a combination of teaching, worksheets, physical and spiritual practices, and conversations with the group. Mid-week you can expect devotionals, encouragement, accountability, optional virtual workouts and support from me and from a prayer partner. There will also be bonus content to really solidify the lessons each week so that you can feel confident with each step before moving on to the next.
I am confident that by the end of this group, you won’t just know what to do, but you’ll be excited to do it and you’ll be equipped to persist in doing it, even when life throws you curveballs. Remember, as Jesus said, in this world you will have trouble, but take heart, He has overcome the world. We’re going to learn how to take heart and live free.
